Make sugar syrup by mixing 150g sugar with equal amount of water and cooking
for about 5 minutes To 100g of ghee add a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking soda and
mix until bubbles appear Add 100g of maida to this and mix by sprinkling water in
steps so that it becomes soft Make this into uniform balls and flatten it lightly on
both sides Deep fry this in oil and when it it cooked, put it immediately into the
sugar syrup for about 5 minutes and the remove it on to a plate Repeat the
procedure with all the balls You can decorate it on top with grated coconut

* 1 cup chopped coriander or cilantro leaves
* 2 green chilies or according to taste
* 2 tspns. lemon juice
* 1 to 11/2 tsp. sugar

While wishing stable health of our all fellow Telanganites, who is on ‘Deeksha’ for the last few days and has created the latest spark for the movement, we express our heart-felt condolences to the families of our fellow Telanganites who have sacrificed their lives for the cause. We are planning to collect as much money as possible to help the families of the departed souls. Though their deaths have helped the separate statehood movement significantly, we strongly, strongly appeal to the youth, students and all not to sacrifice their valuable lives inadvertently. Your slogan should be ‘Live and Fight’.

We also appeal to all the past, present and future MLAs, MLCs, MPs and Ministers of all political parties of Telangana to come out of their timid selfish shells, grab this lifetime opportunity, participate and lead the historic agitation peacefully for the separate Telangana statehood. You have been living like second class political leaders under other leaders so far and this is the opportunity for you to become first class political leaders in your own state. Show that you have spines and do not look for the orders from either Andhra Private Parties or Central Private Party. If any of you believe that we should not separate, show your guts and provide the white papers on the regional developments so far and the plan for future rapid development of Telangana region.

Glorious evening took off with Lord venkateswara sthothram followed by welcome speech by SVU Alumni coordinator and Centre for Southeast Asian & Pacific Studies Secretary Dr. P. Munirathnam Reddy. He Introduced Sridhar Reddy on the stage and briefed on his leadership skills and interests to serve the needy and his current services to SVUAA and congratulated him for achieving Prestigious Hind Rattan Award from NRI Well Fare Society India.

Save the life of P. Hari Prasad, an engineering graduate battling against CANCER
Hari Prasad, 30 years old, is suffering with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of Cancer since Jan 2003. Unfortunately in 2009 Cancer relapsed and he was hospitalized. Ever since then he has gone under several Chemotherapy cycles at Indo American Cancer Institute in Hyderabad.
Now doctors have asked him to go through Autogenic Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). This is the only life saving alternative he is left with as his body cannot survive another relapse of Cancer. Currently he is undergoing treatment at Indo-American Cancer & Research Institute (run by Nandamuri Basavatarakam Trust), Hyderabad, India under the care of Dr. P. S. Dattatreya and subsequently at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India.
With so many prolonged and painful treatments, Hari has gone through severe physical and emotional stress and not to mention his financial stress. Hari and his family couldn't bear all these expenses.
All Telugu People are invited to attend the meeting in support of "'United Andhra Pradesh" scheduled in New Jersey on Sunday, 12/20/2009. All Telugu people are deeply disturbed with the recent turmoil in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Student Vaaka Adi Reddy ( Age 26) is shot at Oklahoma city on Tuesday night around 10:00 p.m by two black guys after robbing the store where Adi Reddy is working as part time employee.
He is admitted immediately into the near by Oklahoma University Hospital. Still he is in ICU and condition is very critical.
We are planning to bring his family members immediately from Andhra Pradesh to Oklahoma City with the help of NRI Minister Sridhar Babu.
Adi Reddy is very active and friendly person who belongs to Uppalapadu village, Praksam district and doing Masters degree at Oklahoma City after completion of his Engineering in Bachelors at Baptla, Guntur District .
Adi Reddy actively participates in many social activities and also big supporter of Dr YS Raja Sekhara Reddy, he played a good role in YSR Victory Rally Held at Smith Ville , TN on May 23rd, 24th after second time winning of YSR.
Bay-Area Telanganites 5k run and kite flying event
There are around 350 San Francisco Bay Area Telangana NRI's who have gathered at Bay-lands Park in Sunnyvale (Bay) and have conducted 5K run/walk and kite-flying by kids in support of Telangana state formation. This program first started by paying 2 minutes homage to martyr's who laid their life for this great cause. Then the kids sung "Jaya Jaya he Telangana" song.
Bay Area Telangana NRI’s have urged political leaders from Telangana to stand by people and do take appropriate actions in order to mount-pressure on state and central governments that includes either resignations, or anything that come in across for the formation of the state. In case if any of the Telangana political leaders backtrack at this point, they have urged local people to boycott them from the society along with handing them as “permanent political unemployment role” in the next elections.
They all requested teenage students never think of "suicide" as an option. It is not worth it, please be there to take care of your parents. The history never showed any achievement by committing "suicide" and demanded politicians should offer help to students rather than provoke them towards depression. And emphasized complete non-cooperation and boycott all the business activities in Telangana area in which their profits are being used to demolish the will of Telangana movement. And also everybody condemned the statements coming out that this is a Maoist or Naxal movement.
There were several speakers came forward by expressing their opinions and enthralled the Audience, including an ex MLA C. Ram Reddy from Manthini constituency who attended this event shared his experiences during his regime. The topics covered during their speech are Razakar movement, and associated struggle, “gentlemen” agreement, air share of water, electricity, jobs, education and resources, the need of Telangana history, culture and heritage. Few emphasized the need for sincere leadership and lack of their current will. They urged political leaders not to make historical blunders at this historical movement. One of the speakers emphasized how the division can help Seema-Andhra with respect to new job creation through new infrastructure projects through business development. Rest of the speakers shared their thoughts about agitations and constructive ideas on how to take this forward.
All the participants have taken the pledge to fight for Telangana state and continue the participation until Telangana is completely developed even after its formation. All the participants have condoled death of Telangana students and maintenance 2 minute silence in memory of them. Then, about 180 people have participated in the 5K run and they have taken SF trail around the park while 50 kids flew the “Telangana” kites.
This event is organized by Bay-Area Telanganites with the support of various Telangana organizations of Bay Area, TDF, TeNA, TNRI-JAC, Bay-Area Telangana students and like minded telanganites etc of Northern California, USAThere are around 350 San Francisco Bay Area Telangana NRI's who have gathered at Bay-lands Park in Sunnyvale (Bay) and have conducted 5K run/walk and kite-flying by kids in support of Telangana state formation. This program first started by paying 2 minutes homage to martyr's who laid their life for this great cause. Then the kids sung "Jaya Jaya he Telangana" song.
Bay Area Telangana NRI’s have urged political leaders from Telangana to stand by people and do take appropriate actions in order to mount-pressure on state and central governments that includes either resignations, or anything that come in across for the formation of the state. In case if any of the Telangana political leaders backtrack at this point, they have urged local people to boycott them from the society along with handing them as “permanent political unemployment role” in the next elections.
They all requested teenage students never think of "suicide" as an option. It is not worth it, please be there to take care of your parents. The history never showed any achievement by committing "suicide" and demanded politicians should offer help to students rather than provoke them towards depression. And emphasized complete non-cooperation and boycott all the business activities in Telangana area in which their profits are being used to demolish the will of Telangana movement. And also everybody condemned the statements coming out that this is a Maoist or Naxal movement.
There were several speakers came forward by expressing their opinions and enthralled the Audience, including an ex MLA C. Ram Reddy from Manthini constituency who attended this event shared his experiences during his regime. The topics covered during their speech are Razakar movement, and associated struggle, “gentlemen” agreement, air share of water, electricity, jobs, education and resources, the need of Telangana history, culture and heritage. Few emphasized the need for sincere leadership and lack of their current will. They urged political leaders not to make historical blunders at this historical movement. One of the speakers emphasized how the division can help Seema-Andhra with respect to new job creation through new infrastructure projects through business development. Rest of the speakers shared their thoughts about agitations and constructive ideas on how to take this forward.
All the participants have taken the pledge to fight for Telangana state and continue the participation until Telangana is completely developed even after its formation. All the participants have condoled death of Telangana students and maintenance 2 minute silence in memory of them. Then, about 180 people have participated in the 5K run and they have taken SF trail around the park while 50 kids flew the “Telangana” kites.

TAMA Elections And What They Mean To NATS And TANA
I was in Atlanta for Thanksgiving holidays, visiting some friends and family. While this was my favorite destinations ever since I came to the US years back, I found something of a stark difference from my last few visits. Atlanta boasts one of the largest Telugu communities in the US. I used to meet different people while attending parties. Never did I see two dominant communities fighting this hard before. Apparently this is because of elections for TAMA. My cousins and their friends are not in talking terms because they belong to different communities. I was appalled by this behavior and inquired as to what’s happening in Atlanta. What I found made me ashamed even more.
Apparently, TAMA Executive committee headed by one Satyanarayana Reddy made some innocent mistakes in handling some simple issues. As TAMA is a non-profit organization, to serve on the Executive Committee is not a full time job. A day or two late in communicating some decisions made by TAMA, gave a past president enough ammunition to go to the court (?). This past president is a successful businessman and he had his share of errors and omissions when he served on the committee as well after. Here comes the real strange situation. He represents TANA and he was fighting the people that split TANA to make way for NATS. So this past honorable president now sides with NATS people and wants to tarnish the image of Satyanarayana Reddy and defeat him. He and his NATS friends spend heavily to recruit new members for this purpose. Remember how much these same people spent against each other in Chicago and California, ridiculing each other?
Here are the questions I had in my mind while flying back from Atlanta to Miami last Sunday night: Why is that these people want to make all non-profit organizations that they are in, political? Why would these people go to courts and waste so much of their energies as well as time and money of others? Is it the caste feeling that is making these TANA and NATS supporters who have been fighting like dogs to go united against another community? Why is that NATS and TANA holding their celebrations in the same city and same weekend, dividing the local communities? Looks like TANA and NATS can not co-exist, in which case how come they can work together to defeat another community. Is this some kind of arrangement in convenience? If they can work so well together to defame and defeat an honorable person in Atlanta, why not they show it to their top bosses living in Florida and California, how to work together? I did not have any answers to my questions. Hope these people in Atlanta have.
